Continuous home screen refresh

Randomly my display continuously refreshes to home page. It just jumps back to home page from open apps, other pages and app drawer. 
When i pull down nototificatins I still see continuous background screen refresh.

The battery drains fast. Only option is to restart the phone. 

Anyone has this issue?
