From what I've read, it actually goes beyond "just" being a T-Mobile customer
You also need a separate (T-Mobile) line for the watch

Thank you for participating in the One UI Watch Beta program.

We understand the frustration around limited Beta availability by carrier or model. While we canโ€™t share specific details about eligibility decisions, please know that multiple factors are carefully considered when determining Beta rollout, including technical, regional, and operational constraints.

Devices listed below are eligible for Watch beta participation.

LTE Models (Watch with Mobile Network)
To receive the Beta update, your Watch must have an active T-Mobile data plan.
If the SIM is not activated or the device is not currently using T-Mobileโ€™s mobile network, the software update will not be delivered.

Bluetooth (Watch BT models, not just BT paired with Phone) Models
Bluetooth-only models are not affected and will receive the Beta software update as usual. No SIM or mobile plan is required.

If youโ€™ve enrolled in the Beta but havenโ€™t received the update yet, please ensure your Watch meets the conditions above.
