Get in? Get out? Either way, be prepared to go through what we have to go through to get to the finished product. This is not for the faint of heart. If you are impatient, don't do it. It's a long, drawn out process and everyone should realize this before they jump on board. Relax, breath and chill. The long, bumpy ride will be worth the end result. It will actually make you look forward to the next Beta. This will be my 3rd or 4th time and I'm super excited to be a part of finding the flaws and helping to get them fixed. Either way, Good luck!

Same here! Hopefully people that are doing it for the first time now, will understand for the future what it entails. I feel bad for those that haven't really researched it and therefore their expectations are sometimes different than but the reality of beta testing is.

The faint of heart, like it's a coroner's job. It's really not that hard.

One thing I find and this is not a shot at those wanting to participate as they learn. It sometimes what they say when considering the whole premise of beta testing is to not just talk about issue, but if understanding possible issues, responding to them as if they could be solved because updating this size of change can cause conflicts that really only need a system cleaning, etc.

Rarely do users here direct the issues be submitted in error reports as the mod has posted over and over again. Some are not technically inclined enough to navigate these issues, but rather join because it's the next shiny thing. When they get annoyed or bored they back out, and that's fine.

If users here would to do one thing is they please stop replying to issues by saying they are experiencing the same thing, like a whole thread of "me too" posts. Send those issues as reports. The more the devs see them, tge more they will notice issues happening more. That's the purpose of these betas.

I guess in your personal opinion or what not, just like any other thing beta is a test version but I have to say I'm in the beta and my phone is working beautifully zero issues thus far better service better battery better everything but not everyone is experiencing that so like I tell some people it all depends on what apps you have installed there might be a issue between an app and beta, if you're used to beta test then there's no issue if you've never done one then maybe take advice from the main Post

Ive done the last 5 betas. I know what's it about. Ive just gotten to the point that after this one betas are no longer for me. My work schedule and traveling has gotten too much and I need my phone to be fully operational all the time

Always be sure you come first ! Especially when considering engaging is tests like these, Samsung is saving bank on our devices without any compensation. Yes, I get it we all agreed to it and there is even a risk, though very very low, that if the beta caused the device to fail, Samsung will not cover the device since the users agreed to that as part of being in their beta processes.

There is also not much interaction between devs and users here other than the mods posting regurgitated copy and paste comment regarding reporting errors. No input, no discussing what issues are being looked at and considered.  It has become so prevalent, that it is reflexive for Mod(s) to report errors even on suggestions as a fix, when users were positing suggestions and the forum states its title as "Suggestions". Also Samsung is not really concerned who joins with some not at all technically inclined. I don't blame the user, as they are enticed by the newest thing adn tha tis how marketing works, but Samsung should make it so that only those who partake are interested in working out bugs of their next iteration of their UI.

That said, this will be my last one too and I will admit that I think this is one of the most unimpressive underwhelming UI upgrades I have ever experienced and the bugs are still bad as the UI look near no different than the 7.0 UI, which is still not working as sold after 5 months and tbh, it is still beta IMHO. One issue that the vast majority of user want changed and they= devs only made marginal ones, is either ridding of the battery pill icon, or at least allowing a choice between that and the one that was in the UI 6.1. And Samsung still has not improved the camera software, which leads me to believe that it cannot be improved or they will not spend the money to do it.

This is why I sorely wish the US would stop banning other nations (like China) form imports as that stifles competition and allows companies like Samsung and Apple to not innovate, rather just make cosmetic changes and call them new feature and actual upgrades. If they had competition, they would have to make better devices, software and hardware.

After Huawei scandal. The Chinese brand are not welcomed in the US but still one plus is here and can't compete.
