Battery drain - 1st time beta

My battery life has TANKED today and a little yesterday, and idk if it's the beta or just my phone being new lol. I haven't done a beta before and I just got my s24 ultra a week ago. I know it can take time for the battery to learn your patterns, but I swear it wasn't this bad before I installed the 7 beta. Is this pretty typical? Much rather that be the case than something actually be wrong with my phone lol

Nah it's not you. The S24 Ultra on UI 6.1 and Android 14 has AMAZING battery life. It's the beta. I used to go 2 days EASILY on a single charge with over 5 hours of SOT( Screen On Time) and STILL had about 20% left to empty. You should report the battery drain to Samsung as did I. It's definitely pretty bad with this 1st Beta release.

The phone takes a little bit to regulate itself. Couple that with installing a beta 1 software on top of it, you're just asking for battery drain.

If you're that worried about battery drain, then downgrade back to 6.1. Because betas come with bugs, and they usually target the battery.

I've noticed battery drain under UI7 that didn't exist before. Battery life about 60% of what it was before
