Hello! Thank you for reaching out! I would recommend trying the information below.

1. Reduce the number of programs running in the background. While apps are running in the background, they continue to use the memory and CPU, reducing your battery life.
2. Disconnect any external devices when they aren't in use. While external devices are connected to your notebook, they will use your battery for power.
3. Run files from your hard drive, rather than from a CD or DVD. Using your CD drive will consume more battery than the hard drive. Your notebook will continue to spin the disc in your CD drive even if you aren't currently using it.
4.Clean the contacts on your battery. Every couple of months you should clean the metal contacts on your battery with a cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol. This will ensure that the transfer of power is the most efficient.
5. Do not leave your notebook unused for long periods of time. Once your battery is charged it should be used at least once every two to three weeks to maintain the battery life. You should not allow the battery in your notebook to completely discharge.
6. Defrag your notebook regularly. Defragging your notebook will rearrange the files on your hard drive to make access easier. Use the search tool on your notebook to find the Disk Defragmenter.
7. Reduce your screen brightness. The brighter your screen is, the more battery it will be using.
8. Turn off or hibernate your computer rather than leaving it on standby. While your computer is on standby it will use your battery to remember what you were working on and what files you were using.
9. Clean the air vents on your notebook using a cloth or keyboard cleaner. Keeping your air vents clean will help to keep the temperature of your notebook down. The hotter your notebook becomes, the harder the fans will have to work to keep your notebook cool. You can use a cooling stand to help keep your notebook cool.
10. Turn off your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when they aren't being used.

These are just general tips that can help. You do not have to do all of them or in any combonation. You may also use other resources such as google that can help you find more ways to extend the battery life.
