Why in the world did you cancel the clock feature on the (for lack of a better term) the dark screen that comes up once the lock screen goes down when I got my settings reset?????
What do you mean? The AOD? You have to turn AOD on, you always did. Settings/lock screen and AOD. Turn AOD on and select one of the options. In your case, you probably want to set it for "auto" The clock will show all the time unless it's in your pocket. Or you can set it for always, especially if you use it as a bedside clock at night.
