Galaxy A14 5G

After downloading the latest update the screen on my phone fades out if there's 18 seconds of no input. Where's the screen fadeout setting (and why, if anyone knows, did Samsung change this setting)?

The update did change this setting because it started happening right after after I installed the update. No one else uses my phone and I didn't change the setting.

To remedy the problem:

  • Go into Android Settings and search for "screen timeout." On my phone this setting is in the Power Saving settings. To prevent the screen from timing out every 30 seconds, scroll down and remove the checkmark next to the "Screen timeout in 30 seconds" option.

To set/change the Screen Timeout time:

Android Settings > Display > Screen Timeout
