Smart view issues

Before the update I could use smart View to miror to my TV or I could mirror my TV to my phone now after the update the option isn't even an option. What happened

Which update are you referring to? If it's the One UI 8 update, did you clear the cache partition in recovery after installing it?

I have not tried that yet i'm going to do that right now and i'm talking about Ui8 update

So I tried that and it didn't give that option back

How did you used to connect to the TV? By that I mean what was your procedure?

I used the smart View....it gave me the option to cast to my tv.... or I could connect my TV to the phone it would say phone to other device and give a list....or I could "click" an option below that that said other device to phone and it would give a list but now it's ONLY phone to other device....

I don't think you're missing anything. Under Smart View on my phone, I only have the option to send from my phone to another device.

Are you still able to mirror your phone to your TV? If not, on the Smart View screen, tap the 3 dots, go to settings > labs and toggle Chromecast support.

Both your TV and phone have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network to work and some TVs need to be added to the SmartThings app on your phone as well.

Yes I can mirror MY PHONE TO THE TV absolutely no problem.... the option for me to even choose TV to the phone isn't there anymore it's like it never existed idk I don't get it....
