Good evening.  I have a Samsung Galaxy A26 5G and my carrier is Spectrum.  I could not find the settings for call waiting on my phone.  When someone calls if I am on the line it goes directly to Voicemail.  No popop or any type of notification on my phone at all.I spoke with Samsung and they said that my carrier had to activate the feature on their end.  I did just that and it still was not working.  I confirmed with Spectrum again tonight that it was activated the other day.  I did some research online and found this.

The setting for call waiting is supposed to be under Supplementary services as seen in this screenshot from Google.

Then from this screenshot it shows Call waiting as an option under Supplementary Services.

Finally I took a screenshot from my own phone under the Phone App Settings.

As you can see my phone is not showing Supplementary Services.  I don't know why but lately I have missed a lot of scheduled calls from people who work at places that don't have extensions that are hard to reach.  I'm not sure what to do.  Any help would be appreciated.

Some models can have limited carrier features call waiting in this case my thinking is your phone doesnt have the feature as your carrier said. Part 2 just did some looking and didn't find much

@Figureguy The Supplementary services menu is controlled by your carrier. Often carriers hide the menu because they want you to contact them to configure any of those services.

The way call waiting works on my phone, I hear a tone, see who's calling, I have 2 choices, I can press send and put the person I am talking to on hold, I can go back and forth by just pressing send. If I don't use send, it goes to voicemail. There is no supplementary service menu on my Samsung S25U on Verizon. There is no put the 2nd caller on hold with Verizon.

Have you tried rebooting your phone to see if it gets initiated.

Actually thank you to everybody who answered but it might be solved. I just got off the phone with Spectrum and told them they supposedly turned it on the other day. Not only did the woman I spoke with confirm it but she had me do a network reset on my phone. I wasn't sure if it was a hidden feature somehow because I was missing supplementary services. For instance call forwarding is under supplementary services but I don't have that. However through the Spectrum app on my phone I can turn on call forwarding but there is no feature for call waiting. So the woman at Spectrum and I did three test calls. I was on the phone with her and she called in from another line. The caller ID reflected there was another call and I hit the green phone button. It went to the second call and then at the top of my screen was a split bar with the two calls and the option to swap or merge. We did that a second time, then she called me from her work to myself and I called in from my landline to my cell. The caller ID registered home and I was able to answer and swap. I waited a few minutes and then after spectrum and I disconnected I called my home from my cell and had my wife call my cell. Sure enough her name came up and I was able to swap or merge both calls to have a three-way. Caller ID and call waiting I guess are somehow controlled but Untouchable by me. Neither in the spectrum app nor on my phone Can I toggle on or off caller ID. Now that the call waiting is on I can't toggle it on or off myself but if I call Spectrum again they can shut it off for me. Very strange. If I have any issues over the next couple days is I'm going to try to make sure it's stable I'll update. Otherwise thank you to everyone for taking the time to read my post and help out.
