No icons for Samsung Apps group including Notes show up in default apps as of this AM. No icon for Apps in general (gray dots) showing either. Had Google as default OS on this phone and it seems to have commandeered all other available apps.

Is it just Samsung apps that are affected, or all apps? Do you have your App drawer sorted alphabetically or custom?

Since the app icon (gray with white dots) is gone now too, I would have to say other apps as well. I had only a few other apps like Blue Sky and maybe 4 others saved under that icon. Google apps still all there. This happened overnight.

Long-press your home screen, go to settings, and toggle "show apps screen button."1754488264726.jpg

You probably got the One UI 7 update overnight and that's what changed your setup. You shouldn't have to re-add that button, unless a future update changes things.

But since you got an update, make sure you clear your device cache. This will help ensure you don't have any leftovers from the old OS:

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

Do you also have your home screen layout to show home and apps screen?  This will insure the app drawer is accessible, should you accidentally remove the "show apps" button from the home screen.  You can also lock your home screen from changes in that same setting.
