Okay so my phone recently shut off for like a few hours I forgot to pay it . My RCS chats for Google messages seems to not be registering so I'm able to use it . So I downloaded Samsung keyboard and well I try to verify it as well and it says that it can't verify . I have tried it on wifi and mobile data and still no success. Is anyone else having this issue ? I just got my android 15/One UI 7 update so I'm not sure why this isn't working I have tried everything. Does this seem like I have to take it to the store ?

Update: July 15 2025
2102
So I went ahead and switched back over to Google messages. I enabled it I updated it in Google Play store, went in and went to verify my number and it was already verified and connected to RCS chats!. Thank you everyone !

Yeah completely updated super OCD about that. Still nothing.. I'm going to take it into the store I think . I am using the Samsung Messages and it seems the RCS chats are working there which is fine but some of the features that the Google messages RCS offers the latter doesn't. Not sure what's going on.

Could try going to settings than apps down to Google messages and clearing the cache under storage

I already tried, I mentioned it earlier today. I appreciate the help.

Clearing the cache for Google Messages was a great start. Since the issue occurred when your service was disconnected and restarted, try toggling the RCA feature off, resetting the network settings, and then toggling RCS back on again. This may be enough to refresh the connection data from your service provider. It's a bit of a pain bc you will need to reconfigure WiFi and Bluetooth devices you had connected before.

It doesn't work I have stated I trieded everything. Even toggling it off and on. It should work on mobile data itself as well and it isn't someone else is having the same issues . Thank you

I saw where you cleared the cache but didn't see a mention of you resetting network settings so figured I'd mention it. A lot of times a service interruption can cause issues like that.

A bit strange that Samsung Messages was able to reprovision without an issue though 🤔.

Thanks for sharing all the steps you’ve tried — it sounds like you’ve already done a lot of troubleshooting. This kind of RCS issue is actually pretty common when a phone temporarily loses mobile service or gets suspended due to billing. Even after restoring service, RCS can sometimes get stuck in a failed registration loop that neither Google Messages nor Samsung Messages can fix on their own.

Here are a few things that can help:

1. Clear Carrier Services Cache and Data

Go to Settings > Apps > Show system apps (use the filter if needed)

Find Carrier Services

Tap Storage > Clear cache and then Clear data

Restart your phone

2. Clear Data for Messages App (Google or Samsung)

Go to Settings > Apps > Messages (the one you’re using)

Tap Storage > Clear cache and Clear data

Reopen the app, accept permissions, and try enabling Chat Features again

3. Wait 24–48 Hours After Service Is Restored Sometimes RCS provisioning doesn’t re-register immediately after service resumes. Give it a full day or two and retry the chat setup periodically, especially if Boost Mobile’s servers are catching up.

4. Switch Back to Google Messages (if using Samsung) Google Messages is more directly supported for RCS through the Jibe network. After switching, go to:

Messages > Settings > Chat Features and toggle it off and back on

5. Contact Boost Mobile Support If RCS still won’t register after trying the above:

Ask Boost to fully reset your messaging profile and re-provision RCS on their backend

Let them know it stopped working after service was restored — they may need to refresh your line with Google/Jibe servers

---

You're definitely not the only one dealing with this, and it’s not a hardware issue — you likely don’t need to go into the store. It’s usually a carrier provisioning delay or profile corruption, especially after service is interrupted.

Let us know if anything changes after the reset or a full 48-hour window. Sometimes these things take longer to re-sync than they should.
