I've had the Galaxy A15 5G or close to a month now and haven't had any help with the phone not giving me any notifications for certain apps I have already checked to enable notifications. After I updated to UI 7 I don't get notifications for the apps I need to see messages for. And I

already reinstalled the apps again, wipe cache partition and updated each of them. I also had to disable Device Care to not put any apps to sleep.

I've missed many messages on Instagram, Gmail and Twitter despite I have them enabled to receive all notifications. IG has also experienced problems with Reels skipping or displaying incorrectly with a black mark cutting out the bottom half of a video. How can I fix this, else I'm returning the phone.

Hello MsKiara, welcome to the Samsung Community! I understand your concerns with not getting all notifications from specific apps. Different things can prevent apps from running or showing notifications on your device. You can disable any function that could be blocking notifications and then test the app to check if it sends notifications. Some apps may have additional notification settings within the app itself. You may need to open the app and check its settings, menus, or help page.

Open Settings

Tap Apps and Select the App(s) that is experiencing the issue

Tap Notifications

Verify that the switch next to Allow Notifications is on and select Allow sound and vibration

Many apps also allow control over notifications when you tap on a category. You can make certain categories silent, choose what sound they make, or even allow them to still make a sound when Do not disturb is enabled.

Verify that you do not have power saving or do not disturb on

If you have added any apps to sleeping apps, it means they have entered a powering save mode. If they are "sleeping," some of their functions may be unavailable when the app is closed. For example, they may not send notifications.

I already did all of that. I wiped cache partition and disabled Do not disturb.

I've only had this problem with Samsung phones and tablet. You never helped me or other customers who've experienced the same problem. I found many complaints similar to mine.

Thank you for the feedback. If the troubleshooting steps did not resolve the issue, you can submit an error report by: Samsung Members app > Get help > Send feedback > Error reports. In addition, I recommend reaching out to the third-party app developers for further assistance.

I've messaged Instagram more than once but not Google with Gmail. The notifications for both Gmail and IG were working okay until the phone updated to One UI 7.0. I already sent an error report.

Since then the notifications stopped completely and Instagram had trouble playing Reels. Is there a way to roll back the UI 7 update until this is fixed? Like I mentioned, I have everything checked for notifications and disabled Do not Disturbed. I've also wiped cache partition and reinstalled Instagram.

To give an update for anyone who may buy this phone, I continue to experience problems with getting notifications.

Instagram and Gmail is what I regularly use and the fact this problem continues after buying the phone is a problem. The Galaxy A15 also froze for me and randomly restarted on 10/15 last week. The new is still fairly new for me and the random freezing, screen going to black and restarting was a concern.

Device Care continues to put PDF Reader to deep sleep despite that I never used this app. I remove it from deep sleep and Device Care always returns it to deep sleep when I restart the phone. I'll share a screenshot below.

I don't recommend this phone because of the constant unsatisfactory from Samsung and the customer service. My old phone, TCL 30 that I replaced for this one, had issues but never this severe.
