GALAXY A16 BATTERY CHARGE LIFE ?

THIS NEW PHONE IS SITTING DOING NOTHING AND THE BATTERY STULL RUNS DOWN VERY FASTLY.  IT IS MY BACKUP PHONE.   AND WHEN IT DID GO TO ZERO, IT SEEMS TO LOSE ITS MIND FOR A RESET, UNLIKE THE I-PHONE.  IF I DO NOT CHARGE IT EVERY DAY OR EVERY OTHER DAY, IT IS DONE, AND NOT EVEN BEING USED.  WHAT IS WRONG AND ANY WAY TO DECREASE THE DRAIN ? SHOULD I JUST LEAVE THE CHARGER IN IT ALL THE TIME ? I SEE A LOT OF THESE TYPE ARTICLES ON OTHER DEVICES ALSO.  IS IT A SAMSUNG THING ? IS IT REPORTING BACK TO HACKER CENTRAL CONTROL CENTER LOL ? OR THE FBI ? OR ...... THANK YOU - I AM NOT A ROBOT

I am very tempted to say, "yeah, the FBI is draining your battery because it's monitoring your every move, in which case you should be shouting at the government, not Samsung."

Why are you shouting? A phone should be charged every day.  What do you consider losing a charge rapidly? 3 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours?  When your phone is fully charged, check the battery statistics in settings and see what the expected up time is predicted to be based on your usage.  Then, after a few hours, check the battery statistics to see what is using the most battery.  Make sure those apps are optimized or put to sleep.  Turn on "put unused apps to sleep" on in the battery usage settings.  If this is a new phone, make sure you realize that

1. The battery is adaptive and needs at least one week to learn your usage patterns. First when it's new, and subsequently after most updates.

2. You must do basic "housekeeping" at least once a week by either restarting the phone or setting auto optimization to do it automatically at the day and time of your choosing.

3. Even in standby mode, battery drains.  If will drain even if off - it is the nature of *all* batteries. If it's your backup device, why is it even on if your regular  use phone is working?
