I understand that this app is useful to some, but I have no use for it. I have disabled as much as I can, such as notif Sound and Vibrations, and it still drops messages into my notifications. It can't be uninstalled, and notifications can't be disabled, so I get messages saying useless things like "You used your phone for 2min yesterday" which clutters the few important notifications I do receive. The app actively competes with the new alerts I actually rely on.

This app offers no value to me, and if anything, adds to my phone usage, as I keep looking for ways to disable it every so often, just in case an update has changed things. Ironically, it draws more of my attention than it prevents.

The lack of control over its presence creates friction rather than support, and it feels counterproductive. I do not feel like my usage pattern is respected by this app. I would like to either uninstall the app, or if not, disable it entirely, or if not, disable its notifications entirely.

The allow notifications will always be greyed out and unable to be turned off, however, all the individual categories can be turned off. The notifications need to be allowed, as device care also informs you of system errors, should there be any, even though there is no category for it.

I haven't set it to notify me of anything, and I don't use it, but it still lets me know how often I've used my phone now and then. It still sends notifications when I don't ask it to.

If there's way to block all of it's notifications, I'd appreciate help in finding these options.

Next time a notification pops up long-press it and click the gear. You can disable notifications from there. Alternatively, go to setting>digital wellbeing>tap the three dots in the top right>toggle off usage data access>disable customization service>tap notifications>disable all notifications. This should prevent it from popping up.

I just toggled off Usage Data Access, but I'm unable to toggle off Allow Notifications. It's greyed out completely.

I'm pretty sure I try to turn off every notification I see, but it usually doesn't let me. I'll try again next time I get a notification and report back here when I do, unless toggling off Usage Data Access prevents it from sending me more notifications.

You have to enable notification categories to toggle of individual notification types from an app.  Go to settings, notifications, advanced settings, manage notification categories for each app. You will then be able to go the the app (digital well being) and toggle off that specific category of notification or all the categories, which will effectively stop all but system level notifications from the app.

I followed your instructions and Allow Notifications is still on and greyed out, but it let me disable all the category notifications, so hopefully that stops it. Thanks!
