I am using Google Calendar so I can sync my calendar entries with my laptop. However, on the phone (A52, Android 14), the calendar alarm just does not behave as I need it. I want the calendar to ring or. I rate (per phone settings) and NOT quit until the even is marked as acknowledged or snoozed. On my Google Calendar I use several sub-calendars (groupings of event types) with different defaults. The problem with my phone is that it makes at best very anemic ping, flashes a notification on the screen, and that's all she wrote. While I am driving I cannot keep looking at the calendar to catch the anemic notices. I tried several apps to fix it, but none do the job. The best app cannot handle more than 3 - 4 sub-calendars.
As a cherry on top, it would be great if it would be possible to have the calendar optionally "say" in generated voice the event title.
You can create a routine to read your calendar notifications out loud. The notification card will remain in your notification area until it is dismissed, but you will get your event notification while you are driving without having to look. You can go into the phone's notification settings and set notifications to repeat, and you can select which app notifications to repeat and at what interval (3-15 minutes). Settings/notifications/advanced settings/repeat notification alerts. Any combination of routine and/or repeat alerts might help you. You can also try the app @Pianodude58 suggested - or all of the above.
