A35 5G International Version Service Not Available?

I bought a new A35 5G Model SM-A356U1 on sale through Walmart online shopping. The phone is advertised as brand new. In the packaging with the phone which came by UPS was information indicating the supplier was a wholesaler in New York city. 

The phone appears new excellent shape and after setting up all my apps and customization from my 5 year old A71 5g, the phone works great. I'm very happy with my new phone.

My concern is when I registered the new phone with Samsung, it has this warning,

Service is not available

Service is not available for this product based on your current location. Please contact the support team in the country that this product was purchased in.

Is this normal for an international version? I'm only concerned because I worry my phone is not really brand new?

Just my thoughts it would seem a international model was recieved which may not have all bands needed in usa

@skydogjack International phone versions are typically not supported by Samsung US.

I think you should return the phone. You have to read descriptions very carefully, they usually will say international model.

Look for one that says US variant!
I only found one listing on Walmart that had a US model.

I think it is just a Samsung thing. I have 30 days to return it if I change my mind.
